About Al

Al Sim was born and raised in Red Deer. He started his career at the Red Deer Coop, working there for 25 years, first managing the Deer Park Grocery Store and then as the operator of the Deer Park Coop Gas Bar. Al enjoyed the thousands of customers that he got to know over those many years. During that time he married Corine Sim, and they have raised their three children, Brady, Lane and Paige in the community. He has coached at many levels, both lacrosse and hockey and has spent the last 9 years on the Red Deer Minor Hockey Board and is currently the President. Al is passionate about his community and those that live in it. He volunteers many hours, acting as co-chair of the Tommy Gun’s Outdoor Winter Classic Hockey Tournament, was on the 2016 Memorial Cup Host Committee , the 2022 World Jr Host Committee for the 2022 and currently on the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation Board.

Al and his wife, Corine, of 26 years have enjoyed giving back to charities within Central Alberta. They are founders and partners in Chatters, Tommy Gun’s and Safari Hair Salons and are grateful to be part of this community and the support that they have received.

Al is passionate about real estate and ensuring that families find the right home for them. He is extremely knowledgeable about every area within Central Alberta and is willing to work hard to find the right community and neighborhood for every buyer. He always works hard to list and market each seller’s property, spending time to make sure that his customers understand the process and the best way to present their property in order to get the best price. He is honest and fair and will give you the straight goods.
